Citation Policy
NiftiBrain is an aggregator of public neuroinformatics and brain imaging information indended to aid in teaching and understanding neuroanatomy. We do not own the rights to any data we publish, nor are we endorsed by the original researchers in any way.
There are caveats to citing NiftiBrain directly. Though we go to considerable lengths to ensure that the data and presentation are accurate, NiftiBrain is not peer-reviewed, nor does it currently have a published technical description of its own. While NiftiBrain may be useful for gathering general information, references and bibliographic information, it should not be considered a primary source.
We strive to ensure that original author(s) of the data receive credit for their work.
Most of the resources are licensed under Creative Commons Non-Commercial license or similar. Original content and analysis is released under a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license. If you cite or use any data from NiftiBrain, you must cite the original source and abide by the terms of the original licensing agreement.

Connectivity Data and Listings
Connectivity data was downloaded from the SciCrunch integrated connectivity database, and originally collated by one of either BAMS, CoCoMac, or the BlueBrain Bluima Project. When citing connectivity data, it is necessary to cite the source listed with the original item. While lengths were taken to ensure the accuracy of the data, it cannot be fully assured. Data from SciCrunch is released under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License, though additional terms may apply for the original resources.
